Through an investment by Tyson Foods and the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation, students at Woodland and Ramay will begin literacy events that will encourage them to become more engaged in reading.

Students will read The Crossover, a novel by Kwame Alexander that mixes basketball with family and coming-of-age themes to tell an uplifting and inspiring story. The project will culminate with a school SKYPE presentation by Alexander in November to discuss his book with the students.
